La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Hyaluronic Acid Serum formula is pretty straightforward; two types of hyaluronic acid for optimal hydration. The serum contains alcohol, but it’s drying effect is mitigated by all the beautiful ingredients mentioned above. Alcohol helps ingredients to penetrate better and work faster in the skin. The product is suitable for all skin types, but there’s a bit of fragrance as European skincare formulators love to add fragrance to everything. 

Hyaluronic Acid: There seems to be no stopping hyaluronic acid as it grows and grows in popularity as a much-loved hydrating skincare ingredient.

Vitamin B5: Panthenol is the provitamin that the body can convert into vitamin B5. When panthenol is applied topically, it’s quickly transformed into vitamin B5, otherwise known as pantothenic acid. B5 binds to and holds water easily, hydrating the skin and helping it keep soft and elastic.

Vitamin E: As an antioxidant, vitamin E targets free-radical damage. But, unlike most other antioxidants, vitamin E is also very hydrating as it functions as both a humectant (absorbing water into the skin) and an emollient (trapping water in the skin).
